Oceaneering has always concentrated on the development and marketing of underwater services requiring the use of advanced underwater technology. Oceaneering in Norway performs a number of activities for the oil industry on the Norwegian Continental Shelf using underwater technology: from remote operated underwater operations to drilling and production support, structural and platform inspection as well as maintenance and repairs.

Oceaneering in Norway, with more than 750 employees, provides 24-hr. services, and can call on technical, operational, engineering, inventory, logistics, tooling design manufacture support from any of the 56 offices in Oceaneering Inc.

 

ROV- Operations

Oceaneering Inc. maintains a world leading position in providing ROV services to the oil and gas industry. Oceaneering Inc. is an underwater contracting company with more than 240 Work ROV systems in operation word wide.

ROV

From our base in Stavanger we operate 47 Work ROVs and 22 Observation ROVs. ROV represents approximately 80% of Oceaneering's business in Norway. As of today we have 450 employees operating our ROVs on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

 

Deepwater Technical Solutions - DTS

DTS specializes in design, fabrication, operation and maintenance of ROV related tooling. DTS represents approximately 20% of Oceaneerings business in Norway. DTS works in close relationship with the ROV operations department. The DTS department supplies engineering services in the fields of mechanics, electro, automation, hydraulics, electronics and development of software and virtual tools.

dtsDTS has through ad-hoc projects built up expertise in this field. The connection between operational experience and innovative engineering in close contact with the customer is a key to success. Oceaneering is the company to call upon early in the planning phase. Current and future demands for ROV - based intervention as well as identification of problem areas could then lead to improvement of efficiency and reliability of present - day systems. During the years DTS have built up a Rental Tool Pool including own produced tooling and other equipment used in combination with ROV offshore operations. OIE offers 24 hr. services 365 days a year.
