Based on the qualified and well proven API17D/ISO13628 Hydraulic Hot Stab design, Oceaneering Subsea All Electric has developed a multifunctional Subsea Connector 3Stab for easy and reliable connection of ROV Tools and Subsea Equipment where hydraulic energy, electrical power and communication are required.
The system is designed without any electrical contact surfaces
and utilizes a patented inductive technology for transferring both
electrical power and communication with an efficiency significantly
better than obtainable by conventional inductive technology. Hence
the system and design is perfect for ROV operations due to extreme
resilience and guidance offered by the Hot Stab design. The 3Stab
is expected to revolutionize both design and planning of ROV tools,
equipment and operations due to the flexibility offered and the
possibility of subsea change-out of complex hydraulic/ electrical
tools. This is especially beneficial as the oil industry goes
deeper and the complexity of ROV tools are increasing.
No need to pull the ROV to deck to do a tooling change-out.
